  • 'National FOSSEE Awards' ceremony at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay

    On 17th July FOSSEE celebrated the 'National FOSSEE Awards' ceremony at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay . Since its inception in 2009, FOSSEE has been supporting the Free & Open Source software (FOSS) community through training, promotion of FLOSS, and user support. FOSSEE envisions an ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ where academia and industry use FOSS, wherever applicable, thus adding value to the Indian economy and strengthen it. Thanks to IIT Bombay, the Ministry of Education, Government of India, for providing all the support to the project. However, it would have never been possible for FOSSEE to reach out to the potential learners and develop them without the continuous and unwavering support of the contributors and partners of the project. This Award Ceremony was a gesture towards expressing gratitude and thankfulness to all the patrons and contributors of FOSSEE and to encourage the students who aim at achieving excellence in academics. Congratulations to all those who have humbled us by accepting the award! Thanks to all the professors, corporate professionals and students who are associated with FOSSEE 

  • FOSSEE Summer Fellowship 2025
    FOSSEE Summer Fellowship 2025 started on 15 May 2025 and was conducted in Hybrid mode. Interns from across India participated in this fellowship, contributing both online and offline. The fellowship provided a versatile opportunity for students from diverse backgrounds to collaborate, learn, and work on various open-source projects under FOSSEE.

  • eSim-Arduino-on-Cloud Myanmar Internship Highlights

    Interns from Myanmar contributed to the eSim-Arduino-on-Cloud project.

    Their work involved the development of the Tool Tracker, Tool Manager, AI Chat Bot, and code enhancements for the Arduino-on-Cloud platform. These contributions aim to improve the accessibility and functionality of eSim for users.

  • FOSSEE Winter Fellowship 2024
    FOSSEE Winter Fellowship 2024 was commenced in Nov 2024. The Internship was conducted in Online mode. In this internship, many students from different institutes across India participated remotely and contributed to FOSSEE.
    The internship provided a platform for contributors to engage with real-world open-source development workflows under the guidance of the FOSSEE team. As part of the program, certificates and honorarium were extended based on the contributions made.

  • FOSSEE Summer Fellowship 2024

    FOSSEE Summer Fellowship 2024 commenced on 15 May 2024. The fellowship was conducted in Hybrid mode. The fellows opted to work full-time (8 hours per day for a minimum of 6 weeks) or part-time(6 hours per day for a minimum of 8 weeks) based on their availability and academic commitments. In this fellowship, many students from different institutes across India participated remotely and contributed to FOSSEE. Their detailed work report can be viewed here.
