  • eSim Coordinators' workshop
The eSim Coordinators' workshop was conducted on 27 July 2019 for the Coordinators' who will conduct the eSim main workshop (scheduled on 21 September 2019) in the remote centers, under the  Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT), MHRD, Govt. of India. Around 130 Remote Centre Coordinators' who are also faculty members with a background in electronics, from various institutes across India participated. The participants practiced eSim using the Spoken Tutorials. Using side by side method they created a circuit schematic, simulated, and designed the PCB for an astable multivibrator. Then they were given the PCB of the astable multivibrator. They compared the simulation results with the hardware output. This workshop also helped the faculty members to realize the importance of simulation before making the PCBs.
  • eSim Pilot Workshop on 12 June 2019
A pilot workshop on eSim for the students and staff members of IIT Bombay was conducted on 12 June 2019. The event was conducted in the BITS lab in the New CC building. There were 14 participants who attended the workshop. A brief introduction about eSim and about its capabilities was given by Saurabh Bansode from the eSim team. Instructions on how to learn and practice eSim using SpokenTutorials and SidebySide method was given by Nancy Varkey from the Spoken Tutorial team. Participants first viewed the SidebySide method video. Participants were given eSim Spoken Tutorials in English to practice. All the participants practiced the eSim tutorials and assignment. This workshop was conducted to get a feedback on the newly created eSim Spoken Tutorials. According to the feedback, the tutorials will be modified and then used for conducting more eSim workshops.
