  • Source of the Project: The concept for this project is derived from the research paper “Operational Transconductance Amplifier Based Universal Active Filter for Biomedical Signal Processing Unit” by Syed Shamroz Arshad, SachchidaNand Shukla, and Jitendra Singh, published in the International Journal of Scientific Research in Science and Technology (NCSMDST–2022). This paper demonstrates the design of an OTA-based universal active filter suitable for biomedical signal processing. Building upon this foundation, the present work focuses specifically on designing and simulating a band-pass filter optimized for EEG and ECG signals using eSim, an open-source EDA tool developed under the FOSSEE initiative, IIT Bombay. The project aims to validate the tunability and low-power characteristics of OTA-based filters for biomedical applications, adapting the universal filter concept to real-world EEG and ECG frequency ranges.
